Tanya Bethune is the founder of Musical Minds, a Melbourne based Early Childhood Music School that teaches music to kids from just 3 months old to 12 years old. We spoke to Tanya about her experience working with Attune Legal to prepare a Privacy Policy for her small business, and the automation of legal documents and contracts. 

Tell me about Musical Minds and the services that you offer?

We’re a relatively new Early Childhood Music School in Melbourne. We offer Group Music Classes for kids, and we’ve just introduced a range of classes for kids from 3 – 5 years old, which was when we got in touch with Yule. He also helped us with our Privacy Policy, which we didn’t have before, and a lot of small businesses actually don’t have. And as a musical school, we loved the name “Attune” Legal! 

What made you decide to reach out to Attune Legal?

We’re still a relatively new business, so it was really important for us to ensure that we had security and peace of mind every step of the way. It’s actually really surprising how many Early Childhood Centres don’t have these kinds of contracts in place. We would go in and talk to them and be so surprised! I think that anyone running a small business and having to deal with endless contracts and paperwork should be protecting themselves as much as they possibly can. 

How did having documents tailored to you impact your business?

It’s been invaluable for our business. One of the most important things to us is security, so knowing that we just have to contact Yule and know that all of our bases will be covered has allowed us to move forward without having to ever worry about something going wrong. 

As a business owner, what would you say to another business owner who is considering using AL’s services? 

I would recommend Attune Legal not just to anyone in the industry but anyone running and operating a business, but particularly a small business! There are so many mistakes that small business owners can make without even realising it, so having someone like Yule in our corner has made things so much easier. It’s a huge relief. 

What was your favourite part of working with AL?

I would recommend Yule’s services to anyone with a small business who is looking for security. With Yule, we know we never have to worry. It’s so nice to know that I can call him at any time, even if I’m panicking and only manage to say “help!” down the phone, and he’ll know exactly what to do. He’s been fantastic to work with and has made everything so much easier to understand. We will definitely have an ongoing relationship with Yule and the team as we continue to grow our business.

After helping Tanya with her documentation my wife and I began taking our daughter Eglė to weekend music classes at Musical Minds. Sure, Eglė learnt some foundational musical skills, but it was as much fun for us as parents as it was for her!
